Around 40 dentists every year are struck off. This week a dentist in Scotland was struck off for not having insurance for OVER 20 years! Frightening to think about, imagine if you were one of his patients!

David Black, 64, was banned by the professions governing body, the General Dental Council (GDC), for a serious departure from acceptable standards.

The GDC said they had no alternative but to erase him from the dental register for failing to protect his patients’ interests.

Black was banned from practising in the UK for at least five years and has until July 4 to appeal.
